Adam Male Model Portfolio Update

Keeping your Model Portfolio up-to-date is very important if you want to show your versatility as a model. Last year I photographed Adam’s first Model Portfolio and since our shoot he has been doing very well, now being represented by a London Casting Agency.

Adam Returned this week to the Liverpool Studio to shoot a new set of images updating his portfolio, working with myself, and Makeup Artist Bethany Pentelow. We shot some wonderful new images. I’m looking forward to seeing Adam’s career progress and hope to see him back at the studio next year.

Male Fashion Update Part One

Throughout the Spring I have been shooting a series of portfolio updates to bring more diversity to my book. This week I turned my attention to Male Fashion, working with Fashion Stylist Rikki Finley, Oxygen Models Daniel and Jay and makeup artist Nita Malata. we created two looks a Modern Fresh look and a Theatrical Expressionist look.

We shot on location at Hallam Mill Photography Studios in Stockport which created a great backdrop for the industrial scenes we wanted to create. I’ve been taught that Fashion photography is all about the clothes and a photographer needs to pull all the elements of the scene and model together in order to reflect it. I hope this is the case with the below and feedback would be appreciated, part two of the shoot will be posted in a few days.

Fitness Portfolio

Since my photoshoot with Rugby Player Stuart Reardon, I have received a great deal of interest in my work from Male Models. Most recently from Luke, male model and fitness instructor Luke commissioned me to shoot a portfolio of images.

Photographed at the studio in the centre of Liverpool Luke wanted some shots similar to the style of Mens Health Magazine and I believe we achieved the desired results he was looking for. This week I received an email I have received on several occasions from different people asking the same question; do you shoot male model portfolios?

The answer to this is yes; indeed I do. Over the years I have worked with many male models in fashion and commercial campaigns, and shot a great deal of male model portfolios for model agencies throughout the UK.

Stuart Reardon Photoshoot

Just before jetting off to Spain I was commissioned to shoot Stuart Reardon Rugby Player for the Warrington Wolves. Stuart has just joined a model agency and needed to start his model portfolio. Shot in the studio in Liverpool we spent the afternoon working on several looks.

One important note about model portfolios is that you always want to start off with powerful images for your model book. You have to make clients excited about turning the next page to see what they will find next.
