Whether you are a total beginner or advanced, our Professional Digital Photography Courses will give you the knowledge and hands-on practical experience to succeed as a Freelance Photographer or to simply make better photos as a Hobby. Group sizes are kept small to 6-8 delegates so you can get hands on in the practical tutorials. Rory uses fun, practical learning techniques for all his digital photography courses. You will work professional models to hone your skills and walk away with new photography techniques.

You will be shown the effect of soft boxes, umbrellas, snoots, and beauty dish how to use reflectors. How to use both soft and hard lighting to change the mood and effect of a portrait. Learn what a main lights function is; and how to use fill lights, back lights and hair lights and be shown how they affect the final image.

Crosse & Blackwell Campaign

Manchester Portraiture Photography Course

Today’s Manchester Portraiture Photography Course was a blast. The delegates worked with Myself, Nita Malata Makeup Artist and Model Zana O’connell on Split, Broad, Short, Rembrandt, and Butterfly Lighting. Learning high and low key photography techniques, model direction and posing, the delegates captured some wonderful new shots for their portfolios.

Glasgow Art Nude Photography Course Behind the Scenes

Rain, rain, go away, come back another day!

I arrived in Glasgow to teach my Art Nude Photography Course on Saturday to a grey rainy weekend leaving the sunshine in Liverpool behind . Glasgow is one of my favourite cities, I love the atmosphere the architecture and above all the people of Glasgow. I’m looking forward to returning on the 29th October for my Portraiture Course and later in December for my Fashion Course.

Hiring Dreghorn Photography Studios in the centre of town the course went very well, today’s delegates worked through high-key and low-key lighting setups with one-on-one tuition from myself.  Learning practical skills to improve their photography. Model Judy performed a great job helping the delegates to create some fab shots for their portfolios.
